Privacy Policy

Volda is a volunteer management platform operated by Turboweb Services Ltd, a New Zealand registered company. We operate this website at www.volda.nz and the application at app.volda.nz.

This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have. We have written it in plain language — if anything is unclear, please contact us at volda@turboweb.co.nz.

Demo requests. When you fill out the demo request form on this website, we collect your name, organisation name, email address, and any message you choose to include. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry.

Account information. When you create a Volda account, we collect your name, email address, and organisation details. This is used to operate and manage your account.

Volunteer data. The volunteer records, profiles, and information stored in your Volda account belong to your organisation. We store this data on your behalf and do not access it except to operate and support the platform.

Usage analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to understand how this website is used. This data is anonymous and does not identify individual visitors. No cookies are set for analytics purposes.

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to demo requests and enquiries
• Create and manage your Volda account
• Operate and improve the platform
• Send transactional emails (account notifications, password resets)
• Provide customer support
• Understand aggregate usage patterns to improve Volda

We will never sell your data, share it with third parties for marketing purposes, or use your volunteer records for any purpose beyond operating the platform on your behalf.

Security is central to how Volda is built, not something added afterwards. Volunteer data is sensitive — we treat it accordingly.

• Sensitive fields in volunteer profiles are encrypted at the field level
• All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS
• Access is controlled by role-based permissions — your team only sees what they need to
• The platform is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure, which operates data centres in the United States
• We maintain audit logs of key actions within the platform

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no online service can guarantee absolute security. We will notify you promptly in the event of any breach affecting your account.

Volda uses a small number of trusted third-party services to operate the platform:

• Vercel — website and application hosting, anonymous analytics
• Resend — transactional email delivery (demo requests, account notifications)
• Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection on the demo request form (no cookies set)

We do not share your volunteer data with any of these services beyond what is necessary to operate the platform.

Volda is designed to comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your volunteer data at any time in CSV format
• Object to or restrict certain uses of your data

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at volda@turboweb.co.nz. We will respond within 20 working days in line with NZ Privacy Act requirements.

Your volunteer data belongs to your organisation. Turboweb Services Ltd acts as a data processor on your behalf — we store and process the data only as instructed by your use of the platform.

If you close your account, we will delete your data within 30 days of your request. You can export your data at any time before closing.

We retain account information for as long as your account is active. Demo request enquiries are retained for up to 12 months. Anonymous analytics data does not contain personal information and is retained indefinitely.

This website does not set any tracking or marketing cookies. Cloudflare Turnstile (used on the demo form) may set a functional cookie to verify the security check. Vercel Analytics operates without cookies.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify account holders by email before the changes take effect. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
